Changelog

I will try to document any and all changes made to the app here, both release, beta and internal versions.

Version (build) Channel Changes
1.0.0 (30) RELEASE
  • First public release of EzioDash Pro – hope you like it!
1.0.0 (25-29) RELEASE CANDIDATE 3
  • Release Candidate 3.
  • These builds saw some major overhauls of some of the app's internals. Both rewrites and cleanups of existing code. Here are the major changes:
    • Rewritten the pit crew feature.
    • Slider for the amount of commentary.
    • Pit stop prediction is added, both on dashboards and through the pit crew.
    • Settings screen changes.
    • Voice can no longer be changed while connected.
    • Number of cars in race displayed, if available.
    • Track identification (experimental) added.
    • Added Eiger Nordwand to pit detection code.
    • Second or later pit stops more reliably detected.
    • The spoken lap times have been overhauled.
    • Displays "REPLAY MODE" when detecting replays.
    • Improved the tyre temperature logic.
    • Improved how the fuel consumption is handled.
    • Added a hybrid dashboard.
    • Ability to toggle dashboards on and off in settings.
    • Added a popup screen on first launch to let new users know how to navigate.
    • Hybrid dash now displays what car you are in when on track.
    • Added new demo telemetry data.
    • The dashboards now properly shows all available demo data.
    • Updated the app to use a newer "version" of the telemetry data from the game.
1.0.0 (24) RELEASE CANDIDATE 2
  • Release Candidate 2.
  • Completely overhauled the settings screen. There are lots of large and small changes here and there, in the layout and in the text. This build has been verified to work on iPhone 8 size of screen at least.
  • Some of the wording in the settings has been adjusted, partly for correctness, partly for screen space reasons. For example, we don't actually look for the PlayStation IP, we look for telemetry from GT7 when auto-discover is used.
  • Readjusted a bunch of spoken lines in accordance to feedback from the beta testers. The comments are now a little sparser, and should no longer give lap or fuel predictions too early in the race.
  • Discovered and fixed an issue where the tyre readouts on the dash wouldn't always properly follow the temperatures set by base and spread in the settings. It would default to initial values instead of the correct user specified values.
  • Fixed a long standing issue with the traces, which didn't properly respect the granularity setting. Should work better now, regardless of which granularity is set.
  • The DEMO MODE text showed up even during races, this has been fixed.
  • Rebuilt the info graphic for tyre base and spread temperatures, and it is now showing changes live!
  • Made a few other tweaks specifically for iOS 15 and 16.
  • The app will no longer attempt to speak if the app is inactive (basically whenever it's not being shown). This is to prevent the audio engine from locking up, which would otherwise mean no more audio until the app is force quit and relaunched.
  • For this build I have intentionally tested extensively on the old iPhone 8, to catch any anomalies due to screen size and older iOS version.
  • If the network connection is lost for some reason, the app will now try to restart the telemetry. However, this also resets the telemetry, so that means that information that was stored up to that point is lost. I will investigate this further in the future, to see if it is possible to "resume" rather than "restart".
1.0.0 (23) RELEASE CANDIDATE 1
  • First build considered for release.
